Tenth Grade!

Max started his sophomore year of high school on the 16th. Hard to believe that this is true of our baby, but it is what it is. He hit the ground running with a schedule full of AP and Honors classes. He will also be busy with the cross country team and Model United Nations. Soon, he will even start driver's Ed! Yikes!
While Max was starting school, Quincy and his girl friend, Rebecca headed out on a road trip to New Orleans before their classes started. Quincy had a great time introducing Rebecca to his favorite city and they also had a chance to meet up with Tabitha for a fun night out.
We spent last weekend doing all sorts of social things including having a cook out with friends, going out for dinner with other friends, sailing with Max's friend and joining in the fun of our annual block party.

I had the chance to meet up with an old childhood friend for lunch on Wednesday! We had such a great time catching up but we barely scratched the surfaces of the past 32 years! We are hoping to get together again soon.
I just about cried when we woke up to this last week! I think that I have some PTSD from the last street construction project! But, this work only lasted for a day and did not involve our driveway, thank goodness!
I was finally able to join the Cleveland Hiking Club for a hike on Friday morning. It was a rigorous 7 mile hike with this very serious group that leads hikes throughout the city at least eight times per day, 365 days per year! I hope to do this regularly as well!
Josh and I got to attend curriculum night at school, where we walked through his schedule and met with all of his teachers. Sure seems like he is going to have a great year.

This weekend was not about socializing but about hanging out together. We attended Max's first cross country meet where he finished well but slower than his best time from last year. Has to get back in the swing of things! We also had fun working around the house and doing some sailing and some beach time. Calvin worked his last day at the water park and is now ready to pack up and move in to his dorm on Wenesday! He will be off to college!
