On Thursday afternoon, I met my friend Stephanie for lunch at a famous Cleveland place, Pier W. This fantastic restaurant is on the west side of the city, built on a pier over Lake Erie. The views are beautiful and the food is excellent so we certainly enjoyed ourselves despite watching a big storm roll in and then roll out.
On Friday, Calvin had the day off of work so it was time to go back to school shopping with the boys! Max is ready for school to start and Calvin can't wait to hit the campus at U Michigan so we had a fun trip, gathering supplies.
Saturday was rainy and muggy but Josh and I went to our nearest Metro park to get some exercise, despite the weather. We took a long, hilly bike ride that really generated some sweat before coming home to work in the yard.
I have been very busy lately, making my own sourdough starter. It was finally ready to be used so on Saturday evening, I finally had my first loaf of homemade sourdough. Delicious, although an awful lot of work!
Saturday night, Max and Josh decided to spend the night on the boat in the hopes of some early morning sailing on Sunday. The weather has been so stormy all week that we were not getting any serious sailing time in and started to suffer from withdrawal. I decided to stay home with Calvin since Quincy was coming home on Sunday, but Josh and Max did get in some great sailing on Sunday morning.
I spent Sunday morning baking and preparing for Quincy to come home. Quincy finished up his 10 week camp counselor job and once again, loved it. He rode home with a friend and will leave already today for a road trip down to New Orleans to visit Tabitha and to see the city before he has to be back at school and ready to start by Monday morning.
