After a short but busy week of work and school stuff, I was lucky enough to take off on Thursday morning for a girls weekend in Maine! My friend, Nancy, from Stockholm, was celebrating her 50th birthday and for her celebration, her husband and two sisters surprised her with a weeklong trip from Stockholm to Boothbay, Maine. The even bigger surprise though was on Thursday afternoon when 15 of her friends from Stockholm and the US showed up to the rented house for the weekend! I got to see two of my very close friends from Stockholm as well as meeting many of Nancy's friends from the U.S. We all had a FANTASTIC time in our beautiful house on the sea. We hiked, we talked, we kayaked, we ate, we danced, we talked, we drank, we shopped, we talked, we sat by the fire, we ate some more... The weather was perfect and we could not have asked for a better time!

The surprise
While I was off having fun, Josh and Max were holding down the fort. Coco continues to limp around, avoiding her bad leg. Max continues to run miles every day. He got a personal best on Saturday at his meet, coming in at 20:54. Calvin also won a tennis match or two while I was gone. I am going to try again to see him play, hopefully tomorrow's night match won't be rained out! Quincy mentioned something about swimming some laps the other day and Tabitha talked about doing a 10K! Everyone is active and busy!
