Another Noisy Week

Every minute that I am home during the day, I am listening to the constant construction noise in the street.  It just about makes me crazy....
Fortunately, I keep myself busy away from the house.  Hiking with friends, coffee with neighbors (away from the construction), a glass of wine with another friend... You get the picture!  I also work (20 hours a week) and run Max around!  Max has long school days these days... He has to be at his first class at 6:45 since he is taking a "zero period" PE class by choice.  This allowed him to fit an additional math class into his schedule which is something that he wanted to do.  So, between his early first period and cross country practice every day after school, he is gone from 6:30 until 5:45 each day!  Whew!  Josh works similar hours so they miss ALL of the construction noise!
We have been worrying about Coco this week as she suddenly (and inexplicably) hurt her back left leg one evening.  She is unable to walk on it and although does not seem to be in much pain, she is pretty tired and careful with her hopping around.  I took her to the vet who wants us to try anti-inflammatories for 7 days before doing something more aggressive to figure this out...  Sure hope it's nothing but it hasn't changed so far...
Max continues to run hard at his cross country  meets.  He got a little bit of a slower time in this week's meet because it was wet and raining.  He still did quite well for a freshman, however!

I took off for Calvin's tennis  match on Saturday morning while Josh went to Max's meet.  Unfortunately, at about 280 miles into my 295 (one way) miles to the match, Calvin called to tell me it had been cancelled due to rain...  Oh well... I continued on and took Calvin out for ice cream instead.  Sure hope that I will get another chance to see him play before the end of the season!
Today, Josh had arranged for his usual car and driver to pick him up and take him to the airport for a business trip to Europe.  He was horrified when a white stretch limo pulled into our driveway!  Max and I thought it was hilarious and just wondered what our neighbors were thinking!
Max has the day off of school tomorrow.  They are closed for Rosh Hashanah!  Definitely a different demographic here than other places that we have lived!
