Birthdays and Holidays!

After celebrating Quincy's 21st birthday, we then moved on to Max's 15th birthday!  He is my baby!  He should not be that old!  He should also not be 6'2" already but he is at least that!  We celebrated his birthday with his top choice foods, made by mom... roasted brussel sprouts, steamed artichokes with butter, and creme brûlée!  I love that refined palate of his!

The day after Max's birthday, we attended the winter sports banquet at his high school.  Wow.  That was a long affair!  Almost 3 hours of food and awards.  Phew!  That might just be our biggest drawback to this big school that he now attends!  Anyway, it was nice to see him having fun with his bowling team and I had time to chat with some of the other bowling parents.
I did get to squeeze in a hike with my outdoor excursions club one day that week.  We had a beautiful  day and enjoyed one of Cleveland's many, gorgeous places.

At the end of the week, it was time for Max to join his cousin, Alex, and fly out to Denver to meet my mom and dad for a spring break, hiking vacation!  They spent the week in Utah and seemed to have a great time!  The boys loved every minute and the grandparents were worn out but made some fantastic memories!

Just after Max left, we picked up Calvin and took him on his last college visit.  He wanted to see the University of Evansville, just to determine if their full scholarship offer was worth going there.  We spent the night and had a nice visit, but it was nothing that persuaded him away from going to the University of Michigan.  So, he has made his decision!!  We are very excited and happy to have him closer next year than he is now!
After dropping Calvin back off at school, we drove back home and picked up Tabitha from the airport the next day!  She flew home to spend spring break/Easter with us and we loved having her here!  She got to be an only child for most of the week!  Pretty fun!  Especially since it meant some shopping and macarons for her!
By Friday, it was time to pick up Max from his trip, Calvin from school and meet Quincy for his Easter break!  We all gathered at Josh's mom's place and enjoyed a very nice weekend together.

Easter was celebrated with Josh's family on Saturday and mine on Sunday.  We were lucky to have beautiful weather and lots of fun with cousins!

Everyone is now back at their respective schools as we finish up the school year!
