Fun in the Sun!

These past two weeks have been fun!!!  On Dec 16, I hosted my cooking club's annual cookie exchange.  It was such fun to get the house all decked out for Christmas and then eat and drink with friends!

Calvin and Quincy then came home from school that week and by Friday night, we were all under one roof again!  So.... we allowed the kids to open one gift that evening so that we could surprise them with their true Christmas gift!
This letter was in each of their boxes...
The reaction was wonderful!

We then had to hurry up and let them gather and even buy some warm weather clothes and pack their bags!  We left less than 12 hours later!  Fantastically fun and frantic!
We had a wonderful cruise with beautiful sights, hot weather, book reading, card playing, eating, drinking, jet skiing, kayaking, dune buggy driving, deck wandering, pool lounging, beach lounging, hiking in jungles, Mayan ruins and zip lining, laughing, talking and just being together!

Quincy was selected to participate in the ship's game show one day

Our vacation came to end and we were back home by Sunday night.  Josh and I then both worked on Monday before it was time for Josh and the boys to head to Ft Wayne to help Josh's mom move into her new condo!  They worked hard but Janis is feeling settled and loves her new place!
Before the boys took off on Monday evening, they did all squeeze in a trip to the theater to see the new Star Wars movie and we did a quick celebration for Josh's birthday!
On Tuesday morning, I took Tabitha to the airport for a trip to Philadelphia to visit her roomate.  The girls had a great time together and even took the train into NYC to visit with some other school friends.

Last night, Josh and I went over to the home of a neighbor for a little New Years' Eve celebration but we were home by 10 so that we could ring in the New Year with our boys.  I made a fancy dinner topped off with baked Alaska that we finished just before the ball dropped.  We then all immediately went to bed!  (Pretty wild)

We then spent today being a little bit lazy, quite a bit frustrated with Notre Dame football, and then quite busy as we prepare to host Christmas for Josh's family tomorrow.  Tabitha flew home this evening so we are all together again for a few more days.
Merry Christmas to all and here's wishing you a very happy 2016!
