A Really Cold Week

With another one on it's heels!  This week was about getting back in our routines and trying to stay warm!  We had some snow, some heavy snow and some really cold temperatures.  I am ready to move back to Texas now.  Why did we ever leave?  Anyway, I did get out and do some snowy hiking with a friend, which was certainly reminiscent of my many snowy walks in Stockholm.  Pretty great!

This little guy has stood outside the entrance to my morning work-out gym for months and he is finally standing in some snow!
Coco spent most of the week looking for some warm lap to crawl up in to.
On Friday evening, it had warmed up enough to just be rainy.  So, I headed out to the west side of town and met some friends that I have not seen in about 32 years!  I had a great time catching up with these sisters, who were neighbors in my youth.
On Saturday night, we decided to explore the very large Slovenia heritage in Cleveland and join some friends at the long-standing Slovenia supper/dance hall for a meal.  This was certainly nothing fancy but was awfully good and very, very fun to watch everyone dancing to the polka band!  Maybe next time, we will join in the dancing... if we learn how to polka.
Earlier in the day, we had gone to the Cleveland boat show.  We all had a great time dreaming and exploring the boats that we would love to own one day.  Josh found one with a bathroom that he could just barely fit in and the salesman thought it was hilarious!
And, on Sunday, Max and I made the long trek to Grandma's house for a visit and to see how she has been settling in to her new digs.  It looks pretty darn great!
While Janis and Max headed to the bowling alley for some fun and dinner, I met my sister for a huge sushi dinner and lots of talking!
And, today, we got to see Calvin before heading back home.  Calvin received an award today for a his academic excellence.  Always happy to see those things happen!
