A Hiccup

Unbeknownst to us, Tabitha was not doing as well in school as she led us to believe.  Completely unexpected but just a hiccup in the grand scheme of things.  So, she is now taking a break from school and came home to spend some time with us.  We are thrilled to have her and happy to lend some support to get her back on track soon.  She came home on Thursday which also happened to be the day that Quincy decided at the last minute to come home for his fall break.  It was so nice to have 3 of our kids under our roof again!  Too bad that Calvin's fall break was last weekend.  Max could not have been happier to have his siblings home this weekend.  They enjoyed each other's company, immensely.  There were family dinners, music making, group yard projects, meals out, Mass together, etc.... So nice!  The kids even went to one movie (their kids movies no longer involve animated characters) while Josh and I went to another.  Our movie theater serves beer and wine so we could even imbibe because we had two other licensed drivers to bring us home!  So, even though the circumstances were unexpected and the weather was cold and wet and even snowed a bit, we had a great weekend!

On Saturday morning, Max ran in his final cross country meet of the season.  He did a great job although didn't quite beat his PR.  His team did win their conference though and the varsity will now go on to districts.
On Saturday afternoon, I had the opportunity to "hang out" with a group of my closest Stockholm friends.  They were having a small party and invited me to FaceTime with them.  It was so great to talk and laugh and catch up!
And, after a cold and wet weekend, we have had a beautiful day today so even I headed out to do some raking.
