Another First!

Max competed in high jump again at Thursday night's meet, and again, walked away with an easy first place!  His coach then discovered in practice on Friday, that Max seems to be their best long jumper.  So, he will add that event to his plate at Monday's meet.  Should be fun!
We have had some beautiful sunny days, so on Saturday morning, we put the top down on the convertible and drove up to the lake.  It was not hot by any means but it was certainly pleasant and we had a great time.  Quincy and Tabitha spent many hours on the beaches of Lake Erie when they were little, but Max had never been.  He had to keep reminding himself that it isn't an ocean.

We took our time driving back home, and drove past the marina where we used to keep our boat (20 years ago, when we lived in Cleveland before) and past our old house.  Brought back memories of some screaming babies but some awfully fun times, too!

When we finally got back home, we set to work around the house.  Max joined me, cleaning the windows, until, fortunately for him, a group of neighbor kids invited him over to play kick ball.

Max had a great time with this new group of kids!  They played outdoors for hours!

Today, we worked around the house some more and were thrilled to finally be able to put both of our cars in the garage!!
