Family Time

Max had a couple of bowling matches again this week.  He is improving very steadily and holding his own quite well within the JV team.  I am learning more and more about bowling at each match and starting to meet some of the bowling parents, which is always fun.
Apparently, having a leg made out of rubber helps with your bowling!
Calvin got his first college acceptance this week and it came with a full tuition scholarship!  Pretty exciting even though it is a "safety school" for him and pretty far down on his list.
On Thursday evening, we all went out and did some shopping for a local family that we "adopted" through Josh's work.  We all had a great time filling their list of needs and wants, and we all felt good about helping out someone less fortunate.
Friday evening found us in the concession stand of the high school gym.  As part of our athletic booster obligations, we needed to volunteer during one of their big annual fundraisers.  This event was a city-wide wrestling tournament.  Not my favorite sport but we had a good time in concessions, and came home smelling like french fries and sloppy joes!
On Saturday, we headed to my mom and dad's again.  This time, it was to attend a surprise 45th anniversary party for my mom's youngest brother and his wife.  We had a great time catching up with our cousins from that side of the family!
My brother, Brad, is no longer nearly as cute as he was as the ring bearer in Dave and Alice's wedding (although he thinks he is)!
Today, we headed back home pretty early.  We then spent the day wrapping gifts, doing some shopping, and enjoying our Christmas decorations!
